We drove up there with Liv's parents, and the trip itself was most enjoyable, since the danish summer landscape is quite nice - especially around Fjellerup.

Yellow fields of wheat(?) ripe for harvest.

Small lake.

Camp site - Liv's mom headed out.

Fjellerup is pretty close to the water.

Harvesting time.

Typical old train overpass.

Sun about to call it a day as well, as we headed home about 8.30pm
- all in all a very enjoyable day.
I once saw a movie that I suppose was Danish about these two men in wheelchairs who were on a cross-country odyssey to get their revenge on a tractor company (or something like that), and the scenery in that movie looked just like those photos.
ReplyDeleteIt was a good film.
Sounds a little bit like "The Straight Story" - although it's about an old guy with no drivers license, who want's to go see his dying brother, and noone can take him. So he does the long journey on his lawnmover tractor.
ReplyDeleteIt's by David Lynch by the way.
Also a good film.
Damn, I was hoping you would have some useful insight on the tractor movie (or rather, I was hoping you could tell me the name of it). It was super. I think it might have marked the beginning of my fondness for the Cinematic World Of The Danes.
ReplyDeleteOh. It was Belgian. So much for that theory.
